Getting Started
Your first steps for learning with J-Way. This guide is for preparation; accounts and class access are provided only after enrollment is confirmed.
Before your first class
- Keep your enrollment documents. Save your completed agreement, tuition or scholarship arrangement, refund policy, and calendar.
- Check your access. Use your own email address and a private password. Confirm that you can sign in and open your assigned Foundations course. Do not share your account.
- Prepare your equipment. Use an internet-connected device that can join Zoom, read course pages, and prepare written assignments. A keyboard and larger screen can make writing easier. Arrange audio access and a quiet place where possible; discuss access barriers privately with Apostle Jones.
- Find your class details. After enrollment, use the private School Calendar for Zoom joining information. Keep meeting links within the enrolled class.
- Read AF01 and its Scripture passages. Note your questions and prepare for discussion. Keep personal pastoral information out of class examples.
Your weekly rhythm
1. Prepare and participate
Read the lesson and Scripture. Join the Monday session from 7:30–8:30 p.m. PST, January 4–February 22. Plan three to five additional study hours during the week.
2. Submit your work
Use My Schoolwork for the required passage study and practical work, and the lesson’s knowledge check for its written questions. First submissions are due Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Check that your submission is recorded and keep your own copy.
3. Read feedback and revise
Written feedback is targeted within seven calendar days. Follow the instructor’s revision request and your next due date. Instructor delays extend your response window; the maximum remains three quiz attempts.
Know where to go
- Student Dashboard: your enrolled courses and progress.
- My Schoolwork: written assignments, submissions, and feedback.
- School Calendar: private class details and school deadlines.
- Student Library: available course references and authorized PDFs.
- Messages: private school learning and administration questions.
These resources are available through Explore J-Way after sign-in. Teaching is live facilitated, supported by written lessons; recorded videos are not required or promised.
Ask for support early
Use the school’s private messaging channel when available, or speak with Apostle Jones about access, an absence, or an extension. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, medical records, or another person’s private circumstances. School messaging is not an emergency service.
Capstone and revision deadlines continue after February 22; final completion review is targeted for April 5, subject to all requirements and approved extensions.
